Biblical cosmology is how the the Bible speaks of the cosmos, or in other words, how the biblical authors envisioned the cosmos. Biblical cosmology is different from modern 21st century cosmology. The most obvious differences can be found in the two key words "heaven(s)" and "earth." The study of biblical cosmology is an attempt to recover how the ancient people viewed the universe. By understanding this better, we will get to understand texts in the Bible that uses words like "heaven" and "earth" better.
