In the Bible, disasters and dangers are often somewhat poetically described as the reversal of what happens in the creation account, or what Jonathan Pageau would call the "undoing of creation" or what Tim Mackie would call "decreation."
Accounts of this can be seen in the 10 plagues of Exodus, and Jeremiah 4. The flood during Noah's time can also be seen as a return to the pre-creation tohu-vavohu state that is represented by the deep waters. Later poetic accounts like that in Psalm 69 make use of this imagery to describe dangerous enemies.
